A. The following N.C. counties can receive our newspapers: Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Davidson (Lexington, Thomasville), Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin. Please call the JIE office at (336) 727-7449, if you are unsure whether your school is on a delivery or mail route.
Q. I'm a teacher, and I want to use the JIE programs in my classroom, but I need extra funding. Are scholarships available?

Q. How can I make a donation to the Journal in Education program?

Q. You call this website "Journal in Education" and "JIE," but the web address is http://nie.journalnow.com. What's "NIE?"
A. NIE stands for Newspapers in Education, and it refers to a nation-wide program. The Journal is one of many newspapers which participate in NIE, and we use their materials in our workshops and classroom activities. But since we also create our own content specifically for use with the Journal, we call ourselves JIE.

Q. How do I order a set of newspapers for my classroom?
A. You can email your request to Carole Ireland or fill out the online order form under classroom newspapers. You can find out about the cost on the order form on our website.
Q. What’s an affidavit?
A. This is a one-page letter of verification for classroom use and delivery. It does not cost you anything but is very important that when you receive one that you return it promptly.
Q. How can I get teacher's guides?
